Shilajit
Shilajit contains fulvic acid, which has a powerful antioxidant effect. Along with increasing levels of antioxidant vitamins E and C, shilajit increases superoxide dismutase (SOD), an important antioxidant enzyme that protects the body from stress and disease.*

Preclinical investigations indicate an array of additional benefits, including anti-ulcer, anti-anxiety, anti-allergic, analgesic, and antifungal properties from shilajit. It also may support memory, have neuroprotective effects, and improve blood glucose and insulin management.*

One randomized trial found that giving healthy male volunteers age 45 to 55 with low testosterone 250 mg of shilajit twice a day increased free and total testosterone by 20 percent. Other studies show shilajit improves metabolic health, lowers risk factors for heart disease, and helps athletes recover from stress.*

Eurycoma Longifolia
Eurycoma longifolia promotes homeostasis in the body and helps counter stress-related disorders.* In one study, stressed out men and women who took eurycoma longifolia for four weeks showed significant reduction in tension, anger and confusion. They also experienced a 37 percent increase in testosterone and 16 percent decrease in cortisol. These changes led to an improved testosterone-to-cortisol ratio, which serves as a marker of recovery and anabolic (muscle building) potential.
 
Eurycoma is also well recognized as a booster of male libido and sexual health.* A meta-analysis of randomized trials concluded that there is convincing evidence for the use of eurycoma longifolia in overcoming male sexual disorders, including erectile dysfunction, infertility, downregulated testosterone, and low libido.
